The Schools

There are seven schools on the Southern Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica where children were suffering from respiratory, skin and eye infections due to the toxic road dust. The Pave the Road Initiative continues to be a voice for the community and has succeeded in inspiring  municipal and national government to pave 5 of the school roads and 45km in the area to protect the children in their open air schools.
